Please take a moment to read through our Terms & Conditions before booking your picnic. By confirming your booking, you agree to the following:


1. Bookings & Payments

  • Your picnic date is confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received.

  • If your chosen date is further in advance, you may secure it with a non-refundable deposit, with the remaining balance due by the date shown on your invoice.

  • If you book directly through our website and pay the full amount, your booking is confirmed immediately.

  • All deposits are non-refundable unless special circumstances apply (at Picnique’s discretion).

  • Full payments follow the same cancellation and refund policies outlined below.


2. Change of Mind / Cancellations

  • We do not offer full or partial refunds for cancellations due to a change of mind.

  • If you choose to cancel your picnic altogether, the deposit and any paid amount are non-refundable.


3. Picnic Locations

  • Picnique sets up in public or semi-public spaces. We cannot control or influence crowds, public activity, noise, landscaping work, events, or any other external factors.

  • If your original chosen location becomes unavailable or unsuitable, an alternative location will be offered.

  • No full or partial refunds are provided due to a change of location, as we work with weather and current site conditions on the day.


4. Weather Policy

  • Queenstown weather can change quickly, and safety is always our priority.

  • In case of poor weather, you will be offered an alternative date or time where possible.

  • If no suitable alternative can be arranged and we are unable to safely set up your picnic, you will receive a full refund.

  • Please note: cloudy skies, light winds, cooler temperatures, or general weather preferences do not qualify as “bad weather.” Refunds apply only when conditions make the setup unsafe or impossible.


5. Arrival Time & Duration

  • Your picnic will be ready at the confirmed start time. Please arrive on time to enjoy the full experience.

  • Picnique is not responsible for lost picnic time due to late arrival.

  • Additional time may be requested prior to the picnic day and is subject to availability and an additional fee.


6. Damages & Loss

  • Any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required may incur a replacement or cleaning fee.

  • Please treat all décor, tableware, and furniture with care.


7. Food & Allergies

  • Grazing boxes and sweet treats may contain allergens. It is the client’s responsibility to inform Picnique of any allergies in the questionnaire received after the booking if confirmed.

  • While care is taken with all food items, Picnique cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.


8. Photography & Social Media

  • Any photos taken by Picnique may be used for promotional purposes unless otherwise arranged.


9. Safety

  • Clients are responsible for their own safety during the picnic.


10. Personal Belongings

  • Please keep your personal items safe. Picnique is not responsible for theft or loss of belongings in public spaces.
