I’m so excited to finally share some news that has been in the works for a little while now: Picnique has officially opened a new branch in Auckland!

When I first started Picnique in Queenstown, my dream was simple — to create beautiful little moments for people to slow down, connect, and celebrate. Over the last couple of years, I’ve had the joy of setting up picnics for proposals, anniversaries, birthdays, and everything in between. Seeing the look on people’s faces when they arrive at their picnic is still one of my favorite parts of what I do. But from the very beginning, I always imagined taking Picnique beyond Queenstown. Auckland felt like a natural next step. It’s such a vibrant city, full of amazing energy, culture, and hidden gems — from its coastline to its parks, there are so many beautiful spots just waiting for a picnic rug, good food, and meaningful moments.

This expansion is more than just a new location for us. It’s a chance to continue growing in the way I always hoped Picnique would — by creating experiences that feel personal, thoughtful, and memorable. Each picnic we set up is different, because every celebration is different. And I can’t wait to bring that same care and creativity to Auckland.

So whether you’re planning a romantic proposal with the city skyline as your backdrop or a special moment to celebrate just the two of you, Picnique is now here to make it happen in Auckland. To begin with, we’ll be offering our picnics for two - intimate, carefully curated setups for couples who want to celebrate, reconnect, or maybe even pop the big question. Group picnics will follow soon, but starting small feels right for now.
