There’s no better way to start a new year than by planning the surprise of a lifetime, and that’s exactly what Shanil did.
On January 1st, Shanil reached out to us with a vision: to create a heartfelt proposal in one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking locations. Over the next few months, we worked closely together to bring every detail to life, making sure the moment felt personal, meaningful, and unforgettable.

When it came to choosing the perfect setting, Queenstown was an easy choice. Surrounded by incredible alpine scenery and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Wakatipu, it offers some of the most romantic proposal locations in the country. After exploring different options, we settled on Jack’s Point Beach – a stunning lakeside spot with panoramic mountain views that provided the ideal backdrop for such a special occasion.

To make the moment even more magical, Shanil chose one of our most romantic styling options: a stunning floral heart arch overlooking the lake. The setup was beautifully complemented with candles and vibrant red roses, creating an intimate atmosphere that felt straight out of a movie. With the mountains in the background and the gentle sounds of the lake nearby, it was the perfect place to ask one of life’s biggest questions.
And if that wasn’t thoughtful enough, Shanil had one more surprise planned. Knowing how much their dogs mean to them as a couple, he included them in the proposal with adorable bandanas that read, “Will you marry my Dad?” It was such a personal touch and one that made the moment even more meaningful.

As Dipti arrived at the beautifully styled setup, she was completely overwhelmed. She couldn’t believe everything had been planned just for her, and the combination of the breathtaking scenery, romantic décor, and heartfelt details made for an unforgettable surprise.
